St. Rose of Lima

Born 1586 Died 1617

Dominican tertiary, mystic and invisible stigmatist. Doctor of the Church.  First saint of the New World.  Shown wearing wreath of roses as a symbol of her vow of chastity.

St. Rose's Feast Day is August 23rd.

St. Therese of Lisieux

Born 1873 Died 1897

Carmelite nun and Doctor of the Church.  Depicted holding a crucifix and roses, symbols of her path to holiness, love and trust in God. 

St. Therese's Feast Day is October 1st..
