Joyful Mysteries - Presentation
According to Mosaic Law a woman who
gave birth to a male child was to present the child at the temple on the
40th day after the birth. The mother was also purified at this
time. Mary and Joseph are shown here with Jesus and Simeon who proclaimed
he had seen the Salvation planned by God.
The Feast of the Presentation
(Candlemas)
is February 2nd.
