St. Dominic Receives the Rosary
Legend has it that while St.
Dominic was kneeling in prayer the Blessed Virgin appeared to him and
presented him with the rosary. She instructed him to spread a
devotion to the rosary.
While it is not possible to prove
the legend is true it is certainly true that the Dominicans have been a
driving force in promoting the devotion to the rosary.
