Sr. Helen holds a B.A. in Math from St. Joseph College, Brooklyn,
M.A.
in Theology from St. John University, Jamaica, M.A. in Pastoral Ministry
and Certificate in Spirituality, St. Joseph West Hartford.
Prior
to coming to St. Agnes in 1993 she was an Elementary School Teacher in
the Brooklyn Diocese, 1956 -74, Director of Religious Education in the
Brooklyn Diocese, 1974 - 93. Here at St. Agnes, Sr. Helen is a
Pastoral Associate for Adult Formation. Specifically she is
responsible for the Baptism Program, Coordinator and Catechist for
R.C.I.A. Coordinator for Adult Education/Formation/Spirituality
Programs, Directs Ignatian Retreats, Assists with Individual Spiritual
Direction, Moderates and Coordinates the Senior Club, Coordinates Adult
Formation Committee, Moderates the Rosary Society, and is an Advocate
for Annulments for the Diocese.
She particularly enjoys working
with people of all ages, meeting young couples with new babies, and
working with the Seniors on our wonderful Club. During her spare
time she likes reading, movies, photography and visiting family and
friends. She especially loves her ministry work at St. Agnes with
our Pastoral Staff under the leadership of Msgr. Kelly.
