Ministries and Outreach - Education and Formation - Home-School Association

  
The membership of this association consists of volunteer parents who oversee various programs at St. Agnes Cathedral School that enhance the children's learning experience and expand community awareness, as well as assist the Administration with various fund raisers. Activities are held for all grades and are designed to allow parents the opportunity to work side by side with their children. Below is a list of some of the programs for this year.

Create-A-Book

Grade 1 students write and illustrate their own book

Create-A-Quilt Grade 5 students design and make a class quilt

Reading Program

Grades 3 & 4 read and report on their selections

Career Day

Grade 8 guest speakers introduce interesting careers

Soup Lunches

Grades 2-8 sacrifice their usual lunch for soup & crackers

Dedicate-A-Book

New books are donated to our library in the student's name

Fun Station - Lynbrook

1/2 day Wednesday event - parents assist

Roller Skating -Lynbrook 1/2 day Wednesday event - parents assist

Ice Skating - Bellmore

1/2 day Wednesday event - parents assist

Rec Center - Rockville Centre

1/2 day Wednesday event - parents assist

Pretzel Days

Grades 1-8 students may purchase pretzels on designated Wednesdays

 

The Home-School Association also assists with the annual Magazine Drive, Candy and Gift Wrap Drive, School Registration, Gym Uniforms, Field Days and School Supply Store.
 

We encourage all parents to consider joining the Home School Association.
