Dear Parishioners:
I write to thank you for the many ways that you support the good works of our parish. Your weekly contribution enables us, among other things, to educate and form the youth, care for those in need and offer fitting worship to God. It goes without saying, of course, that it also pays for the lights in the gym and the heat in the Church.
The Parish of Saint Agnes, as well as many parishes throughout our Diocese, are reaching out
to parishioners and asking them to consider supporting their parish through an automatic donation
from their checking or savings account. As you may know, our parish has offered, for some time now,
the option of a donation being given through one’s credit card. This option still exists. This new option
will hopefully appeal to an even wider group of people. From the parish’s perspective, it also has the advantage
that 100% of one’s donation goes to the parish and there is no fee such as the one which the credit card companies charge with such a transaction.
A highly-reputable company named Faith Direct is facilitating the process. For those who elect to participate in this program, Faith Direct will provide you with personalized “offertory cards” that you can choose to place in the collection basket as a visible sign of your support when attending Mass at our parish.
