Hispanic Community
St Agnes reaches out to the
vibrant and ever-growing Spanish-speaking community
within the parish by offering spiritual, educational,
charitable and social opportunities.
Spanish Language Mass
is celebrated each Saturday
evening in the Cathedral at 7:30 pm. This provides an
occasion for Spanish speakers to participate more fully
in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in their native
tongue.
Religious Education
provides an opportunity for
children to deepen their knowledge of the Catholic faith
and prepare for First Penance, First Communion, and
Confirmation. Classes take place on Sunday morning at
10:00 am in St. Agnes Cathedral School.
Two Youth Groups
offer young people both a
social outlet and a way to grow their faith.
Younger Youth Group meets Sunday at 10:00 am in St.
Agnes Cathedral School. The older Youth Group members serve as Lectors and
Ushers for the 7:30 pm Mass in the Cathedral on the last
Saturday of every month.
Adult Education
provides an opportunity for
expanding knowledge about our Faith. Adult education
takes place every Saturday after the 7:30 pm Mass in the
Quealy Room.
Cursillo Movement -
The Cursillistas are a group
that have received theological formation and work to
grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The
Cursillistas gather for an Ultreya meeting on Saturday
evening after the 7:30 pm Mass in the Quealy Room.
Charismatic Prayer Group
- This prayer group
meets every Wednesday at 8:00 pm in the Lower Hall to
praise God and listen to His Word. Praise is expressed
in a variety of ways including song and prayer.
Outreach Activities -
Parish staff and volunteers
are available to visit the sick and provide services for
people in need.
Eucharistic Adoration
- Exposition of the Sacred Host takes place in the
Cathedral on the First Saturday of each month after the
7:30 pm Mass.
